Lots of people probably experienced this problem before. You begin a baseball training schedule, devote a lot of time to your baseball workouts, and eat healthy for many days. Then, 2 or 3 days into your training program, your family wants to eat out. Of course, family should always be your number one priority and you don’t want to miss any valuable family time so you decide to go with them. You end up eating very bad, high calorie foods, you end up getting disheartened and stop your training program totally since you feel you screwed up badly. Does this sound familiar? Believe me, it’s happened with me a few times when I was younger and it has likely happened to you as well. Thankfully for all of us, there are ways to prevent messing up your healthy eating and baseball workouts program when you're going out to eat.

To illustrate just how simple it truly is to stick with your baseball workouts and diet plan while going out to eat, we'll assume you're going to one of the hardest places to stick with a diet plan...McDonald’s. There can’t be anything even relatively healthy at McDonald’s, right? Wrong! It doesn't matter where you eat out, almost always there is likely to be something which will at the very least not completely mess up your diet program.

At McDonald's, lots of people will probably order a burger, french fries, and perhaps a soft drink or even a shake. This is the kind of meal which will destroy your diet completely. However, substituting a chicken sandwich, a salad (yes McDonald’s does offer salads), and a glass of water ought to be in step with your diet plan.

McDonald’s isn't the only case though! Most (if not all) restaurants will have salads and most will have healthier meals like lean meat and vegetables. With a little creativeness, substituting healthy things can be done at any restaurant.

It will not be easy picking nutritious foods as the rest of your family pigs out on unhealthy junk food. Simply remember which you like more...baseball or junk food? You’re either going to experience the pain of self-control by maintaining a healthy diet or the pain of regret once you realize you have destroyed your diet plan by eating that junk food. Trust me, the pain of willpower is a lot better!
